Event Description
E-(number deleted) arrived to find a single story house fully involved in fire. We pulled the 200 ft cross lay and advanced through the front door. The (riding position name deleted) was on the nozzle and I was behind him. After about a minute of flowing water the (riding position name deleted) said he felt like he was burning. The Captain then started pulling us out of the house after his mask bubbled. When we got out we found that all three of us had crystallized our face masks and the (riding position name deleted) had burned his hands.
Lesson Learned
I don't know how to fix our facemasks. It might help to put our face shields, on the helmets, down, but the shields would probably melt, too.
