Event Description
Engine companies responded to report of large trash fire with structures threatened. Command on scene requested first in engine to lay in 5" supply line. Company proceeded to lay 5" line down narrow, one lane dirt road. Line partially charged when discovered that access to fire scene was being blocked by hose. Time taken to disconnect and move hose.
Lesson Learned
Although no real damage occured, lessons learned involved review of proper hose placement and need to take time to visually confirm access not blocked.
